TIBET at a Glance
Tibet is a highest plateau region lies in the north east of Himalaya in Asia. It is a homeland of 6 million Tibetan people. It has a land of 2.5 million square kilometer and an average height of 4900 meter above sea level. Tibet has three major provinces of Amdho, Kham and U-Tsang which is today, known as Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) since 1965 after the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1959.
More than 1000 Tibetans fled Tibet along with The Dalai Lama and took refugee in India to preserve its rich tradition, culture and language. And they formed their own Tibetan Government in Exile at Dharamsala toward struggle to Human Rights and Justice in and outside Tibet.
China occupies Tibet for more than 50 years and destroys the very Tibetan Identity by restricting access to their religion, culture and human rights.

Its against Chinese law to have a picture of the Dalai Lama in Tibet, even the Tibetan language is being stamped out in an attempt at complete cultural genocide.
